All About PS4 Backwards Compatibility

The PS4 has lots of ways for you to enjoy games that you liked on the PS3 or the PS2. If you sold your old system to help pay for your new one, these can get you access to some of your favorite titles with ease.

A limited number of PS2 games are available for download through the PlayStation Store. These are classics, like the Grand Theft Auto games, Red Faction and Red Dead series. The entire collection of games is available to browse and purchase in the PS2 Games area inside the store. The cheapest of these games are $9.99.

The second way to get your favorite older games back is PlayStation Now. The service offers video game rentals for hours and a subscription that lasts a month for $20. There are over 400 PS4 and PS3 games available as part of PlayStation Now, Sony says.

Wait for New Screen Sizes

Wait for New Screen Sizes

It looks like we could see some new screen sizes in 2020.

According to hit-or-miss publication Digitimes, Apple is working on new iPhones that are smaller, and larger, than the current models.

The site claims Apple will launch three OLED iPhones in 2020 with screen sizes measuring 5.42-inches, 6.06 inches and 6.67 inches.

The 2018 iPhones feature 5.8-inch (iPhone XS), 6.5-inch (iPhone XS Max), and a 6.1-inch (iPhone XR) displays. Same goes for the iPhone 11 (6.1-inches), iPhone 11 Pro (5.8-inches), and iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.5-inches).

Korea's ETNews reports that Apple's planning to use thinner OLED displays on the 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch models. It's unclear if the change will lead to thinner designs.

A recent note from JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee states that Apple will release four new iPhone models in the fall of 2020 including a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and a 6.7-inch model.

Kuo backs up this information in a new research note. He claims Apple will launch a 5.4-inch iPhone, two 6.1-inch iPhone models, and one 6.7-inch iPhone in the second half of 2020. All of them should come with OLED displays.

So if the current sizes aren't to your liking, think about waiting for the 2020 crop of iPhones.
