Learn What's Going On with the macOS High Sierra Beta

If you don't always stay on the latest macOS Sierra update or you are installing the macOS High Sierra beta on an older Mac, you should gather feedback about the beta from other users. This may mean waiting a few days to install, but it could save you a headache.

While Apple tests the updates internally on all supported computers and checks upgrade paths, this is a beta that will help them identify other issues and problems. The older a computer is, the more likely there will be an issue with the upgrade process, and this can be an even bigger issue if you've never done a clean install.

With macOS you don't need to worry about jailbreaking that only works on select versions and it is generally easier to downgrade back to the version of macOS that you were on, but it is still a good idea to check forums for feedback about the macOS High Sierra compatibility with older Macs and with specific apps.
