The Nexus 5 is Google's current Nexus smartphone. For those that are unfamiliar with the term, Google's Nexus branding means that the device runs stock Android software without the crazy manufacturer user interface, receives updates straight from Google, and comes with an unlocked bootloader which allows for intense customization.

It's also cheap. The Nexus 5 starts at $350 off-contract which is cheaper than off-contract pricing for most flagship smartphones. The larger model is just $400.

We consider the Nexus 5 one of the premier Android devices on the planet and it's a device that we think you should check out before going with the LG G2. There is a lot to like about it. Those that need to absorb a ton of information would be wise to check out our Nexus 5 review.
