Twitter App for Android Updated with Push Notifications, Support for Multiple Accounts

Twitter’s app for Android received a fantastic boost in the form of an update today, an update that is finally brings push notifications and support for multiple accounts to the software.

I use Twitter for Android and have enjoyed my time with it but these new features definitely make it ten times especially for those that operate multiple Twitter accounts. As for the push notifications, if you turn that on, you’ll now be notified when you get Mentioned, when you receive a Direct Message, and Tweets.

Twitter has also added a new appearance to the home screen widget and have taken care of numerous bugs while adding an assortment of unnamed improvements. All in all, an extremely solid update that definitely makes the official Twitter app worth considering.
