iTunes Rentals Across All Your Devices

iTunes Rentals Across All Your Devices

With iTunes 12.6 and iOS 10.3, you now have access to your iTunes rentals on any device. Up until now, if you rented a movie on your iPhone, that was the only place you could watch it. We accidentally rented way too many movies on the iPhone and then later remembered we couldn't watch them on our iPad.

With iOS 10.3 on your devices and the new version of iTunes, you can start your movie on one device and finish on another. There is still only a 24-hour window, but you can switch between devices as well as rent on your iPhone and watch on another device. This is very handy for browsing movies that you want to see and then renting them when they are on sale to watch later.

The only catch we've seen so far is that you need to stop playing the movie on one device before you start on another. We could not simply start playing on the new device without manually stopping on the other.

Why didn’t the fix the problem with iPad Pro where the Bluetooth needs to be shut off to get full speed from wifi?

Great article, very inclusive and informative. Time to give it go on the first of my 5 devices. Sounds like a good one, time will tell. Thanks!

Okay, well it says that 10.3.1 came out early April but did they actually test it out. I updated and it has been crashing my app and I feel the need to get a new phone. In my opinion this iOS is great just a minor mistakes in between.

I lost my previous iPad 2 to an earlier Apple iOS update and Apple just smiled and said I’d just have to buy a new iPad. Cynic that I am I can’t help but wonder if the main purpose of these updates is to brick existing iPads and force users to replace them??? I can think of no other industry that is not held accountable for its “mistakes.” Maybe it’s time to rethink the rules these guys play by!
