Sadly this is something that needs to be said in 2017 and will be a big problem in 2018. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have a headphone jack. Which is more than we can say about any iPhone over the past few years. That dongle-life, right. Yes, the Galaxy S8 has a headphone jack, and it's important. What can you do with that? Well, listen to music of course. Having a headphone jack is extremely useful, not to mention owners can listen to music with their favorite headphones while they recharge the phone at the same time with the USB port. On other phones from Motorola, HTC or Apple, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Meaning the USB port does everything, and you can't use headphones and charge your phone at the same time. We're going backward and losing features, not gaining them. This is a feature worth having, and one more reason to enjoy the Galaxy S8. And hey, it looks like the Galaxy S9 will keep it too. | |||||||||||

the headphone jack is also important for selfie stick (monopod) control. so, yay for the headphone jack!
