The Microsoft Surface Book is a different kind of laptop. Its unorthodox hinge doesn’t let its screen fold backward. The 13.5-inch display is a tablet in its own right, complete with an Intel Core i5 processor, support for digital pens and 3 hours of battery life.
Together the display and base can last for up to 12 hours of video playback. All the expansion ports are on the base. There’s a headset jack, two USB 3.0 ports and mini DisplayPort. Surface Book comes with either 8GB or 16GB of Ram. Storage ranges from 128GB to 1TB. The PixelSense display inside the Surface Book has a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels, making it one of the crisper looking displays available anywhere. The more expensive Surface Books include a NVIDIA GPU that make them ok for gaming.
