The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Android Pie roll out has begun which means it’s now a great time to start preparing yourself, and your device, for the move from Android Oreo to Android Pie.

The Galaxy Note 8 Android Pie beta is over and Samsung is pushing out the final version of the Android Pie upgrade.

The company’s roll out is starting with beta testers and users in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East but we expect the roll out to pickup steam as we push deeper into the month.

While you might be tempted to install the update the second it arrives for your phone there are some steps you should take before you transition from Android Oreo to Android Pie.

The Galaxy Note 8’s Android Pie update is a huge release with a long list of changes including Samsung’s new One UI. There are benefits to upgrading early, but note that the update is causing problems for some Note 8 users.

Samsung’s latest update went through a beta period, but issues have slipped into the final release. Some of these issues are minor blips, but some users are noticing major performance issues including lag, connectivity issues, app problems, and abnormal battery drain.
