Make sure you update your applications before you download Android Pie.

Samsung's updated many of its first-party applications with support for the Android 9.0 Pie update and One UI.

The company says you'll need to update some apps including Calculator, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, Samsung Notes, Samsung Members, and Samsung Pay individually. These updates deliver new features and they'll help these apps maintain performance.

Apps that haven't been optimized for Android Pie might not work properly after you make the transition.

You'll also want to download updates for your third-party applications but make sure to read reviews from Android Pie users before you do.
