10 Things to Do Before the Galaxy Note 5 Release Date

Research Carriers Now

Now is a great time to start looking into your upgrade and looking into some of the advantages (and disadvantages) of each potential Galaxy Note 5 carrier.

The Galaxy Note 5 is confirmed for AT&T and Verizon and it should also be coming to Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. The Galaxy Note series has never come to smaller U.S. carriers so you'll want to prepare as if the Galaxy Note 5 will be stuck with those five.

If you're a free agent, you'll want to investigate a few things in particular. Take a look at the network size of these carriers and gather feedback from users in areas that you frequent the most. The last thing you want is to go to a carrier with terrible service where you live or work.

You'll also want to take a look at reports about customer service. Some carriers are better at this than others. All of these things are important and you're not going to be able to get a clear picture if you start your research a day, or even a week, before the Galaxy Note 5 release. Get started now.

Non replaceable battery and no sd card will be a deal breaker for me. Have had samsung phones for 8 years but may have to move on. :(

      I’ve been w Samsung since the 1st Galaxy S.
Went to the Note 1, 2 & 3. Been waiting for the 5 since I got my 3…
No removable battery & no micro SD card, will FORCE me to go (back to) Apple iPhone 6+…
      Sad but true.
Those 2 factors were the biggest selling points to me, as well! I HAD the 1st Gen iPhone, but left for the Galaxy S….

Why would you go back to the crapple just because they got rid of the battery and SD? theirs doesn’t have either and doesn’t even have the S-Pen. I hate that hey got rid of the SD too, but love the features of my Note 3 and will likely get the Note 5 soon.

Well I to was looking forward to the Note 5 but not being able to use a micro sd card with it is also probably going to be a deal breaker!! So said because I really wanted that phone.
