If you have an inkling to try out the iPhone 4s iOS 8.4.1 update, you still can.

Apple is still signing off on the iPhone 4s iOS 8.4 update which means that the downgrade loophole remains open. What this means is that you can try out the iOS 8.4.1 update and if it's not to your liking, you can drop back down to iOS 8.4. 

Warning. We don't know when Apple will stop signing off on iOS 8.4. It could be tomorrow. It could be on the iOS 9 release date. We just don't know. 

You'll also want to remember that you won't be able to drop back down to anything older than iOS 8.4 so it might not be worth it for those of you still on iOS 7 or a much older version of iOS 8. If you're already on iOS 8.4 though, it's something you'll want to keep in mind, especially if you run into problems.
