You may or may not know this existed, but there are a few apps on the Google Play Store that will help owners find a lost smartphone. If you're like my Fiance, and always lose your phone, this is the app for you. Wear Aware acts as a leash to its paired smartphone, and will start buzzing and vibrating if you walk away. To make it even better, if a smartphone is lost you can use the app, or Android Wear voice commands to launch Wear Aware and turn on the phone.
