You'll be able to play Battlefield 5 on the PS4 and Xbox One. This includes the PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X. 

You probably won't be able to play Battlefield 5 on the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3. Battlefield 1 wasn't released for these consoles and we don't expect a sudden change this year.

If you own one of these older consoles and want to play the next Battlefield 1 game you will need to upgrade this year.

The biggest question now is if EA will bring Battlefield over to the Nintendo Switch. FIFA 18 is currently the only EA-developed game available on Nintendo Switch and it could stay that way for awhile it seems. 

Battlefield 5 press materials don't include the Nintendo Switch so if the game does come to the console, it could come later on.

The good news is that the Switch continues to sell well, something that could push EA to release additional Switch games.
