Don't Wait for a Foldable Display

IHS Markit analyst Jeff Lin, citing supply chain sources, claims Apple is working on a foldable iPad for release in 2020. 

The rumor is sketchy at best. We haven't heard anything about foldable iPhones or iPads coming in 2020 and given the issues Samsung's had with its Galaxy Fold smartphone, we'd be surprised if Apple brings the technology to market in 2020. 

We've seen patents hint at a foldable iPhone so there's a chance Apple is working to roll out foldable devices in the future.

That said, we'd expect those devices to arrive in 2021 or later once all of the kinks have been worked out.
