Wait for New Surface Devices With More Battery Life & LTE
Now, if you want a Windows 2-in-1 with the most battery life possible and mobile internet that always works, wait to buy a 2017 Surface Pro.
We don’t expect Microsoft to release a new Surface Pro soon, but it may create an all-new Surface that uses a Snapdragon 835 processor like the Samsung Galaxy S8 does. Typically, it makes new Surface devices to test designs that PC makers are just exploring.
Two of its hardware partners are launching Surface Pro alternatives that use a Snapdragon 835 processor. The HP Envy X2 and the Lenovo Miix 630 last 20 hours before needing a charge. And, an LTE radio inside them lets buyers add them to their wireless plan and avoid using public Wi-Fi.
Both of these devices launch sometime in the middle of 2018. Microsoft usually announces new hardware around then.
