Hideo Kojima’s next game finally has a release date and Death Stranding, which is a PS4 exclusive, lands ahead of the holidays on November 8th.

The open-world action game is currently on sale at several different retailers and these retailers are selling four versions of the game. They include the standard edition, the Special Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition, and the $200 Collector’s Edition that comes with a life-size baby.

You can buy the game right now via retailers like Best Buy, GameStop, NewEgg, and the PlayStation Store.

Now that we have a release date, gameplay footage, and editions, many people are starting to think about pre-ordering Death Stranding.

Pre-ordering nets you some nice bonuses and ensures that you’ll play the game the second it launches in November. It’ll also help you avoid paying an exorbitant amount for the Collector’s Edition ahead of the game’s release.

Of course, there are also a few reasons to think about waiting. The clip above reveals new details about the game, but we still don’t have the whole picture. And the best Death Stranding deals have yet to come.

In this guide we’ll take you through the best reasons to open up your wallet right now and the best reasons to hang back and wait a few more weeks, months or longer before buying Death Stranding for your PS4.

Pre-Order For Bonuses

If you buy a copy of Death Stranding before its release date you get some nice bonuses with your pre-order.

Death Stranding pre-orders come with a Chibi Ludens PSN Avatar, the Death Stranding Dynamic Theme, and some in-game items that will unlock as you progress through the game.

These bonus items include the Gold “Sam” Sunglasses, a Gold Hat, a Gold Speed Skeleton, and a Gold Armor Plate.

These are cosmetic items, but they're appealing to those of you who like to customize your characters or PSN account.

If you want access to these, you can pre-order any version of Death Stranding
