If you want to play NBA 2K24 ASAP, you'll want to pre-order the game. 

Unlike previous years, there isn't an early release date attached to any of the game's bundles. All NBA 2K24 editions will come out on the same day. That means your first chance to play the full version of NBA 2K24 will be September 8th or September 7th.

If you pre-order a digital copy of the game, you can pre-load it before the game's release date. The game should unlock at 12AM Eastern on September 8th which means those in western time zones will be able to play it the evening of September 7th. 

If you pre-order a physical copy of NBA 2K24 you won't get your delivery until the morning, afternoon, or night of September 8th unless you can find a midnight launch event.
