Install for Daydream VR Support

At Google I/O, Google and Samsung confirmed plans to deliver Daydream VR support to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ this summer. It took a few months but Daydream VR support is starting to roll out to Galaxy S8 users.

Daydream VR support hasn't arrived for every Galaxy S8 model just yet but a few popular variants have been upgraded.

In July, T-Mobile rolled out new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Nougat builds. The updates include bug fixes and minor enhancements. They also include Google Daydream support with Google availability. In other words, the devices are Daydream VR ready, it's just up to Google to flip the switch.

Verizon is the latest to push out Daydream Support updates to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The updates also feature some changes to the Infinity Display.

If you're a Daydream user or you're extremely interested in trying out Google's virtual reality solution on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, you'll want to install the latest version of Nougat when (and if) it arrives for your device.
