Install for Android Pay Support

If you haven't updated your phone in awhile and you want to pair Android Pay with your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, now would be a good time to install the latest version of Nougat. It should have Android Pay support on board.

At launch, Android Pay was blocked on T-Mobile and Verizon Galaxy S8 models leaving users with Samsung Pay as the only mobile payment option. Samsung Pay is fine but some users might prefer Google's mobile payment solution.

A few weeks ago, T-Mobile and Verizon deployed new Nougat builds that bring Android Pay support to both models.

Once you get the new Nougat build on board you can add your credit, debit, loyalty, and gift cards to Android Pay and start shopping.

If you somehow missed these updates and you want an alternative to Samsung Pay, you'll want to download the latest Nougat build.
