Your new Galaxy S8 Nougat build might also deliver some useful changes that could improve your day-to-day use.

While the bulk of new features will come with the company's Android O release, Samsung and its carrier partners have been tweaking and improving Nougat. Some of these tweaks could have a big impact on how you use your phone.

Change logs will vary but we've seen carriers push out a series of changes to Bixby, the virtual assistant on board the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Verizon's current Galaxy S8 Nougat builds come with the following changes:

- Bixby (also known as Bixby Home) consolidates all of your personal Bixby experiences to a single Samsung account ID.

- Easy access to Bixby intelligence features (such as Bixby Vision and Reminder) by tapping the icons at the top right of the device screen.

The carrier's updates also delivered improvements to Wi-Fi calling, a feature that many people rely on throughout the day to talk to friends.

Other Nougat builds have brought the ability to fine tune the color balance of the Infinity Display and the Bixby Vision function that allows Galaxy S8 users to buy items from Amazon simply by using the camera.

Upcoming Galaxy S8 Nougat builds will likely build on the current foundation with new tweaks, features, and enhancements.

If you see something you really like, consider installing your new build right away.
