Galaxy Note 9 users get DeX's desktop experience with an HDMI to USB Type-C cable and a monitor. This allows them to control the action on screen with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Thanks to Android Pie, Galaxy S8 users now get the same experience. You no longer need to use, or buy, an expensive DeX station in order to get a desktop experience.
