Don't Install iOS 15.8.2 If You're Nervous About Bugs

If you're having an excellent experience on your current version of iOS, you might want to hold off on an upgrade for a little bit.

There's a lot to like about Apple's iOS 15.8.2 update, but the new software is causing problems for some iPhone users.

The current list of iOS 15 problems includes some familiar faces: abnormal battery drain, issues with first and third-party applications, Bluetooth problems, problems with Wi-Fi, issues with cellular data, installation issues, lag, random reboots, issues with Face ID, and problems with Touch ID.

If you're having a good experience on your current version of iOS 15 and these issues concern you, you might want to wait for Apple's next version of iOS 15 or upgrade to iOS 16/iOS 17 if your device is eligible.

Thx for this! I think I’ll stay with 14.8 for the foreseeable, eh. More and more storage on my poor old 6s is being used by all these ‘great’ upgrades. You’d think they want me to buy a new phone. Lol❤️❤️

After installing the 15.1.1, mu iPhone 12 has slowed down considerably and sometimes freezes or won’t open different apps at all! I really wish I hadn’t updated it!

After downloading iOS 15.1 on my iPad Pro the SD card camera adapter isn’t recognised! I work as part time photographer, and always download to iPad. How do I get this to work again please, I use it every day. It was fine on earlier versions. I don’t use a laptop. Depend on my trusty iPad Pro.
    Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately I got sucked in into upgrading my iPhone 8 to the iOS 15.3 Version and imo it’s the absolute WORST update that iOS has put out there.
Waaay too many BUGS and Glitches, especially with the Keyboard and it’s Cursor when trying to place the Cursor. But there’s also a Ton of other Bugs.
It just sucks that Apple Won’t allow us to Go Back to whatever Previous Version that we want.
Totally feels like Apple is Pushing people into Buying New Phones with All these Buggy Updates hurting our phones!!
If it wasn’t the case, then I see absolutely No Reason that Apple Can’t create an Update that has NO BUGS, especially with all the Technology out there.
Seems like almost every Update has Bugs and I feel that there’s No Reason for it.
Can’t Apple just hire people who KNOW what they’re doing in order to Create an Update WITHOUT BUGS!?
I’m almost ready to make a Switch and say Adios Apple!

When I downloaded 15.7.3 in iPhone 7 Plus Siri started using 20 to 30 % of battery, Had to shut off, uses 5 % shut off ?
My opinion, if phone meeting your requirements, no download!!

When I downloaded 15.7.5 my iphone7 shut down and the apple logo flashed on and off continuously. I put it in recovery mode and tried to force start it without any luck. Now it won’t upgrade or do a factory reset. In other words the upgrade has ruined my previously faultless phone. Thanks apple!!!
