Wait for Fixes & Updates

If you hate dealing with connection issues, bugs, and performance issues, you might want to skip a pre-order.

We don't know a whole lot about Borderlands 3 yet, but you can expect a huge world to explore by yourself or with friends.

Games of this magnitude almost always come with a frustrating set of initial hiccups and we expect problems to emerge soon after it arrives in September.

Typically we see download issues, connectivity problems, performance issues, quest bugs, and an assortment of other problems plague games after release.

Gearbox won't be able to fix every single problem on day one and we'll likely see several patches emerge in the weeks after the game's release.

If you hold out for a few weeks, you can see how the developer handles bug fixes and updates and how well it communicates these details to those who buy the game.
