Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is up for pre-order ahead of its release later this year. There are some great reasons to pre-order a copy of the game, but there are also a few reasons why you might want to wait.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the sequel to Ubisoft’s popular Ghost Recon Wildlands. Like Wildlands, Breakpoint is an open-world tactical shooter that can be played alone or with a team of friends.

Players step into the shoes of a “Ghost.” Ghosts are fictional members of Delta Company, an elite branch of the United States Army.

Wildlands was set in Bolivia, but Breakpoint takes places to a place called Aurora, a huge world that’s filled with the usual array of enemies, vehicles, and missions to complete.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s release date is set for October 4th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. There are currently no plans for the Nintendo Switch.

Now that the game is official, retailers are selling several different editions including the standard edition, Gold edition, Ultimate Edition, and a unique Collector’s Edition aimed at rabid fans of the Ghost Recon series.

You can buy a copy of the game at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, the Microsoft Store, NewEgg, and the PlayStation Store.

Some of you, particularly those who loved Ghost Recon Wildlands, might want to put in an order right now. If you pre-order a copy right now you’ll get some nice bonuses and access to the upcoming beta.
