Mark Gurman's latest report about the new iPad Pros reveals a potential surprise. 

Gurman claims Apple's been testing a Thunderbolt connector on the new iPad Pros. This is the same port on the new Mac models with Apple's custom processors. 

If this pans out, you can expect the iPad Pro to work with "additional external monitors, hard drives and other peripherals." It's also means we'd see faster data syncing. 

This doesn't seem like a done deal, but if these features are of interest to you, you should probably wait for the launch.
