If you want to craft forts or buildings, gather resources, and battle to the death for a victory royale, we have you covered. Nothing quite compares to Fortnite, but some games come close. These are the intense, heart-pounding, action-packed games worth playing today.

These “battle royale mobile games” are one big battleground where around 100 players fight to the death. It’s all about the rules of survival, and being the last man standing. It’s like the Hunger Games, but a video game. You only win when everyone else is dead. To make these extremely popular titles even more exciting, Fortnite added building mechanics. Where you can craft houses or “forts” to keep you safe.

If you’re a mobile gamer you can get a Chicken Dinner, the prize for winning PUBG on mobile, but not everyone can play Fortnite. At least not yet. It first arrived as a Galaxy Note 9 exclusive, and those who pre-order the Note 9 get 15,000 V-Bucks for free. All said and done if you want to play something else, we found similar battle royale games and put them in a slideshow below.

You’ll parachute into an island, craft a house or fort to stay safe, and battle for survival. Make sure you gather resources, find some ammo, get a shield, and work on those headshots. In closing, each one of these games will have you on the edge of your seat, your heart pounding, and shooting your way to victory. PUBG Mobile

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, aka “PUBG” is an extremely popular last person standing type game. In fact, it's one of the original battle royale games. It arrived back in 2017 after starting out as an ARMA mod. An add-on to a popular PC game.

And while some might think Fortnite copied its idea from PUBG, this genre is nothing new. They just managed to add a different element that most players absolutely love, building forts.

PUBG Mobile is available now for Android or iPhone and is hands-down the best battle royale title for mobile gamers. You'll enjoy literally everything people like from Fortnite, except a few of the obvious things. PUBG has stunning graphics, aim assist, tons of customization, and millions of players so you'll never have a dull moment. It's not Fortnite, but for some, that's a good thing.

The games that you’ve mentioned, other than FortCraft, are nothing like Fortnite. Knives Out, Rules of Survival and PUBG:M doesn’t have the gameplay aspect of Fortnite. In Fortnite, you can build, and destroy objects in-game. This cannot be seen in the other games on this list. They may be similar when it comes to the game’s main objective, (excluding Radiation Island) which is to eliminate enemy players in order to win, but building forts and destroying enemy fortifications isn’t a feature on some of the mentioned games. The closest you can get to a Fortnite Mobile is FortCraft, though it is currently on closed beta as of now.

Does anything come close to Fortnite’s building mechanic? That’s what makes it special. These games are close and hit the Battle Royale angle.
