A lot of you might not remember the iPhone 5c, the colorful iPhone variant Apple launched alongside the iPhone 5s back in 2013. 

It may have been announced alongside the iPhone 5s, but it shares more in common with the iPhone 5. Namely, its internal specifications. 

This is precisely why the device was left behind on iOS 10 instead of moving up with the iPhone 5s to iOS 11 and iOS 12. It hasn't been updated since the release of iOS 10.3.3 in July, 2017.

The iPhone 5c is colorful and cheap and that might catch your eye. You can snag it in white, green, blue, pink, or yellow from some retailers for less than $100. Please don't.

If you want a smaller iPhone, go with the iPhone SE. And if you really want an exotic iPhone color, save up for the current version of the iPhone XR (it's a great phone) or the iPhone 11.
