Simply put this is one of the best looking console games of all time and it truly shines on Microsoft's Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. 

There are some huge differences between the four versions (Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4, PS4 Pro) of Red Dead Redemption 2. 

The original Xbox One renders the game at a 864p resolution which is, by far, the lowest of the bunch. By comparison, the PS4 version of the game runs at a native 1080p.

As for the current-gen consoles, Sony's PS4 Pro renders the game at 1920 x 2160 resolution and upscales it to 4K resolution. Microsoft's Xbox One X is the only console to run it at a native 4K resolution.

We've been playing the game on the Xbox One X on a Samsung KS8000 4K television and the game looks absolutely stunning. 

This is Rockstar's first game for the current generation of consoles and it absolutely shows.
