We expect the first reviews to emerge shortly before the accessory hits shelves and they will help you make a more informed decision about whether to buy the first-gen version of AirPower or wait. 

First-generation products are often plagued with issues and there's always a chance AirPower is plagued by a "gate" issue. You'll want to be aware of this before you commit. 

Initial reviews are great indicators, but some of you might want to wait for long-term feedback to answer additional questions.

Apple will try and sell the product on stage but if you're unconvinced don't force a pre-order.
