Apple is reportedly bringing 5G connectivity to the iPhone in 2020, but we'd be surprised if the service debuted on the iPhone SE 2. We haven't seen any iPhone SE 2 rumors hint at the feature. And given that the device is likely going to run an older chipset, the chances of 5G appearing on the iPhone SE 2 are slim. A research note from Cowen seen by AppleInsider suggests "Intel could remain in the supply chain as a supplier of 4G modems for the potential low-cost iPhone SE2 model in the first half of 2020." Instead, 5G will most likely debut on the 2020 iPhone models, also known as the iPhone 12 series, next September.
