5 Reasons to Wait for the iPhone SE 2 & 8 Reasons Not To
Don't Wait for a 4-Inch Display

The iPhone SE's 4-inch display is a huge selling point, but it looks like the iPhone SE 2 will come with a much larger screen. Multiple reports, including the one from Nikkei and the one from Bloomberg, suggest that the next-gen iPhone SE will come with a 4.7-inch display mirroring the iPhone 8's size. This is much smaller than the displays found on the iPhone 11 and 2018 iPhones, but it's much larger than the 4-inch display some people have been hoping for. iOS 14 code also points to the existence of a larger iPhone SE 2 Plus. The larger model will likely have a 5.5-inch display like the iPhone 8 Plus. If this bursts your bubble, it's time to start looking elsewhere. As for the screen technology, Ming-Chi Kuo and a variety of other sources state that Apple will use LCD displays on the iPhone SE 2. LCD displays aren't horrible, but Apple's OLED panels certainly have some advantages including vivid colors and better contrast. In particular, whites are brighter and blacks are darker which means images on the screen are sharper than they are on LCD screens. This might not be a deal-breaker for a lot of you, but if you really want an OLED display on your next iPhone, it looks like you'll have to go with an iPhone X, iPhone XS, or iPhone 11 Pro.
