Perhaps the best reason to wait for the Moto G6 or G6 Play is that the wait is almost over. Why buy something like the Moto G5 Plus or Honor 7X from 2017, when the all-new Moto G6 will be here within the next 30-45 days, if not sooner. 

Motorola announced both phones at an event near the end of April, and confirmed the Moto G6 release date is coming "this Spring". And while that gives them a huge window to release the phone, we're expecting it sooner rather than later. 

In fact, we're expecting the Moto G6 to hit shelves, retail stores, and online shops sometime in May. That means you have around one month or less to wait, then get a high-end phone at a budget price.
