The 2019 iPad will likely come with a few upgrades worth waiting for. 

Apple is reportedly planning some improvements to the device's hardware that go beyond the bump in screen size. 

The biggest upgrade will likely be a new processor, a change that would likely lead to real world benefits like better gaming performance, a faster UI, and improved battery life. That's a big deal for a portable device like the iPad.

Reports haven't mentioned anything about camera upgrades but there's a chance we see some upgrades especially with the emphasis on video calls (Group FaceTime, other upgrades) in iOS 12. 

We also expect Apple Pencil support for the second-gen version.
