In September, Apple debuted the iPhone 5, its first iPhone with a larger 4-inch display and the first with access to 4G LTE data speeds. It also was the first to feature a design with an aluminum back.
Apple typically keeps a design around for two years before replacing it and thus far, rumors suggest that a new iPhone 5S, thought to either be coming in summer or fall, will keep the design while adding some improvements including a better camera, processor and a fingerprint reader for added security.
Those hoping for a larger screen iPhone 6 will likely have to wait until 2014 for Apple to cave to consumer pressure for a larger screen iPhone option.
