7 Reasons to Try the Call of Duty: WWII Beta
The Call of Duty: WWII beta only lasts six days, split out between two weekends in August and September. There is a limited time to play, especially on the Xbox One which only sees a single weekend of the beta. Here are the reasons you need to make the best of this time and try the Call of Duty: WWII beta — at least for 30 to 60 minutes.
You need to pre-order the game to play in the Call of Duty: WWII beta, unless you have Xfinity, then you can get a free code. It’s not confirmed, but we expect to see Activision offer up friend codes, which would help you get a chance at playing the limited beta without a pre-order.
Make sure you are signed up for the Call of Duty: WWII beta and use these tips to prepare for the beta. You can start pre-loading the beta now on PS4 and on August 29th on Xbox One, but most users will need to wait for their token to start the Call of Duty: WWII beta download process.
Why you need to try the Call of Duty: WWII beta.
A beta is unfinished, and it will have more problems than a full release, which may be enough reason for some gamers to skip the weekend of gameplay, especially if they have very limited time to play games. The Call of Duty: WWII beta starts Friday August 25th at 10 AM Pacific, 1 PM eastern on PS4 and lasts until Monday at 10 AM Pacific. The second Call of Duty: WWII beta weekend is for the PS4 and Xbox One and is on September 1st at 10 AM Pacific through the following Monday.

The Call of Duty: WWII gameplay is different than Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as it is going back to Boots on the Ground. If you've spent the last two years fully invested in advanced movement systems, this is a good time to get back to a grounded style of play. By spending your time in the Call of Duty: WWII beta re-learning how to play a game without a double jump and wall-running, you will get an edge on the competition this fall and you can learn without messing up your stats. You can still slide in Call of Duty: WWII, but you won't have as much mobility around the map. You'll need to re-learn how to clear open map areas and what to watch for as well as what you can use to kill the enemy.
