While the content from The Last Jedi will be free, there are a few caveats you should be aware of before you fire up the game in December. 

If you want to play The Last Jedi, you need to own the base game for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or the Windows PC. You can't buy the content a la carte. 

You'll also need to download all of the Star Wars Battlefront 2 game updates, an internet connection, an EA account, and if you're playing on console, an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership.

If you don't meet those requirements, you won't be able to access The Last Jedi's content or any additional content released in 2018.
