7 Things to Know About the iPhone 8 iOS 12.4.1 Update
Apple’s iOS 12.4.1 update could have a big impact on your iPhone 8’s performance.
iOS 12.4.1 is the latest version of iOS 12 and it’s available on the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8.
The iOS 12.4.1 update is a small maintenance release with a single change on board. That said, some iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users are seeing improved performance after installing the new update. Others are running into trouble.
As we push away from the release date there’s a growing list of complaints about bugs, glitches, and performance issues. Some of these issues are minor annoyances, other problems are much bigger.
If you’re currently having a great experience on iOS 12.4, iOS 12.3.2, iOS 12.3.1, or an older version of iOS, you need to approach iOS 12.4.1 with caution.
You can’t predict exactly how the software will run on your phone so you’ll want to be ready to face problems head on. This is especially important now that Apple’s stopped signing on some of the older versions of iOS 12.
Once you make the move to iOS 12.4.1, you can downgrade to the previous version, but you can’t go back to older updates like iOS 12.3. Apple is working on new firmware, but it could take weeks for the company to trot out a new version of iOS.
With all of that in mind, we want to take a look at the iPhone 8 iOS 12.4.1 update’s performance, problems, changes, and more.
