As for the iOS 12.4.1 update's performance, it's currently stable on our iPhone 8 models.

We've been using the update for a short time and we've been looking at key areas of performance like battery life, UI speed, and connectivity.

Thus far, battery life is holding up. We haven't experienced any abnormal drain and we're able to get a full day of use.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS are all working normally and we haven't noticed slow speeds or an increased number of dropped connections. These are common issues after a software update.

The software is fast and we haven't noticed any lag. Control Center, Notifications, and the keyboard are places where we often see lag, but nothing has popped up on our devices yet.

Given its performance and what's on board, we're recommending iOS 12.4.1 to most iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users.
