The company hasn't confirmed a specific Android 7.1.2 release date but it looks like we still have several weeks to go before it's ready for an official release. 

The Android 7.1.2 update looks like it will be focused on fixing lingering Nougat problems. Here's how the company describes the release: 

"Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users."

That should be music to the ears of Nexus 5X users dealing with in-car Bluetooth issues, battery life issues, and other annoying performance problems.
