Android 5.1 vs Android 6: Text Selection and More

With Android 6.0 Marshmallow we finally have a new and improved way to cut, copy, and paste, as well as highlight and select text. Everything from writing emails, copy/paste entire sentences and just general word selection has always been terrible on Android. (Both screenshots are Android 6.0 Marshmallow)

With Android M long-pressing a word will instantly bring up a new floating toolbar with "Cut" "Copy" "Paste" options to easily do that feature, and sliding the blue circle to drag and grab more of a sentence is smarter. It now selects entire words at a time, not letter by letter, making it extremely quick and easy to copy text. Then just slide backwards to go letter by letter to easily get where you'd like for edits, and more.

Essentially cut, copy, paste, fixing mistakes, and text selection has been improved. It's small, but will make things very easy for users. Before it was icons at the top of the screen, too far away, and confusing. Now it's right where you are, and easy to read text so users know exactly what they're doing, and can do it quickly.
