Another noteworthy new feature in Android 7.1 Nougat is Smart Storage. Our phones can now look at our device and see what files, downloads, folders or apps are old. Then delete them to clear out space. If you have too many photos, it will back them up to the cloud on Google Photos and delete the device copy. Too many apps, it will offer suggestions to delete apps not used in the past 30 days. Same goes for files or photos from downloads and more. 

Without approval, nothing gets removed or deleted. Making this a great option for many users. Head to Settings > Storage > 3-dots settings button > Free Up Space > and select what you do and don't want to keep or clean. As shown in our photo.
