Best Android Phones Under $300

Honor 7X

Honor 7X

Honor is a sub-brand of Huawei, one of the largest smartphone manufacturers on the planet. We're big fans of the Honor 5X, 6X, and the 7X. In fact, it's on our list for the best phones under $200, because it's only $199. However, it's better than most older $300 phones, so it easily made this list too.

Previously this spot was for the OnePlus 2 or the OP3 on sale, but the Honor 7X tops it easily. Honor's phone has a beautiful all-metal design that feels like a $700 phone. You'll enjoy a large 5.93-inch edge-to-edge screen with tiny bezels, similar to the Galaxy S9. Honor gives you dual rear cameras, 16 and 6MP, a fingerprint scanner, Android 8.0 Oreo with Android 9 Pie coming soon.

Honor's 7X is pretty capable too. This phone packs a powerful 8-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Plus, you can add a microSD card to expand storage. Considering the price, this phone has everything you'd need while looking and feeling like a much more expensive device. It's unlocked, works with most carriers, and costs under $200. Or you can get a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage for a few more dollars.

The 2015 ZTE Axon Pro smokes most of these and is selling for under $275

Look up booting issues with Nexus 5x. Most are crashing with in a year. LG is able to repair the phones because the mother boards are no longer available. –that is why some people are not selling them and they are cheaper! They are great while they work but that is too much money for pay for less than a year!

Can confirm the booting issue on Nexus 5X after ~1 year and a half of usage

I’m looking for a new phone for my wife because her Nexus 5X turned itself off yesterday and now won’t get past a bootloop. It is 15 months old and from everything I’m reading online there’s no fix for it.
