Best Big Android Smartphones (2017)

Published

on

Over the course of the past few years smartphone screens have become huge. A 5-inch screen isn’t big enough for most. If you’re looking for a phone with a huge screen, we have you covered. These are the absolute best big Android smartphones available in 2017. Phablets, if you will. All coming in with 5.7-inch screens or bigger.

A large part of the problem is the canceled and recalled Galaxy Note 7. Millions turn to Samsung for their phablet. That wasn’t an option in 2016. As a result, others have stepped up and delivered excellent options all buyers need to consider.

These days most phones come in around 5.5-inches. That’s pretty much average now, which means a big phone is something even bigger. With that in mind we’ve gathered a list of some of the biggest and best Android phones available right now. And more will continue to arrive throughout 2017.

The problem is most phones seem content with being the same size. The popular number is 5.5-inches lately, so there isn’t much in terms of options on the larger size. The Galaxy S7 Edge, Google Pixel XL, iPhone 7 Plus and more are all the same size.

Of course those are all great phones, and probably the best three on the market, we want to go bigger. It’s worth noting that there are big phones, but they aren’t good. Users don’t want to get a huge screen but compromise on everything else. Like an old Nexus 6. Instead, simple get one of the phones from our list below or wait for new devices in the upcoming months.

  1. Huawei Mate 9
  2. LG V20
  3. HTC U Ultra
  4. Galaxy Note 5
  5. Nexus 6P

The options are pretty limited for buyers looking to get a big phone. That’s because most don’t sell extremely well, the Note 7 had to be recalled, and 2017 has just begun. In the coming months we will be able to add the LG G6, Galaxy S8 and others to this list. For now though, these are your options.

Our list above is a quick first-glance for potential buyers, then check out the slideshow below for more details on each big Android smartphone.
