Another phone that is a little old but you'd never tell, is Google and Huawei's Nexus 6P. Yes, Huawei made the Nexus 6P and we'd still recommend it without hesitation.
Here's the thing, it still holds its own extremely well against anything released in 2016, has a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, amazing dual front-facing speakers, a premium all aluminum design and it already runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The absolute latest and greatest software. It's also pretty cheap, can be found on sale, and runs great. There's a fingerprint scanner, great sound, fast performance, Android Pay, the big screen you want, and the camera is pretty solid too. It won't take as good of photos as the Google Pixel, Galaxy S7 or an iPhone, but it's pretty darn close.
All in all, the Nexus 6P is still one of the best big phones available right now. A lot of the features it has are just becoming mainstream here in 2017, so you'll still love all it has to offer. Not to mention software updates. At launch it retailed for $499, and often times you can still find it for less than $399.
Buy it Now on Newegg (or elsewhere)
While all the phones mentioned here are pretty great, stay tuned as 2017 moves forward because others will surely arrive to take their place. A prime example is the Galaxy S8 Plus, with a big 6.2-inch display and tiny bezels. It will be smaller than the Nexus 6P but have a much bigger screen and be better across the board. It's something worth thinking about before buying a big phone right now.
