The Casio G'zOne Commando 4G LTE is a rugged and waterproof smartphone available on Verizon that is the followup to one of the first popular waterproof phones that Verizon sold. This Android smartphone offers 4G LTE and a removable battery.

Once again this waterproof smartphone is rated for 30 minutes at three feet, but it also includes an array of other protection including surviving drops from four feet, heavy dust for six hours, and high and low temperatures that are greater than other devices.

The Casio G'zone 4G LTE features a 4-inch display that works with gloves on, an 8MP camera that shoots 1080P video and a 1.3MP front facing camera that the original lacked.

The G'zOne Commando 4G LTE is $49.99 on a two year contract and is only available on Verizon.

Water proof phones are cool and all but when you know your about to be around water a zip lock bag will do a better job. Personally I’m getting the lg g3! That’s about as future proof as you can get in cell phones right now.

I would like to share my experience of a waterproof smartphone…Samsung XCover2…for two times in water and for two times broken…the problem is the usb connection that can not guarantee the impermeabilty due to the fact that you have to open it often to charge the smartphone…and now I understand why many IP67 gps whatches use a different system to recharge. I would like to find a real waterproof smartphone…can anyone help me?

Most of the Sony phones have the option of a magnetic charging cable on the side which doesn’t reduce the water resistance. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a ~$30 official accessory which enables wireless charging so you wouldn’t have to open up a port.

I used a lifeproof case for my iPhone 5c; it got rain on it, now the touch screen doesn’t work. Useless.
