    If anyone else is having the issue of constant looping (video not starting) when using the latest DirecTVnow app, here’s the previous version which still works fine, no looping. Enjoy! :)

      I was getting the buffering issue “taking longer than expected to load your video” on the Directv Now app. I finally solved by clearing my brower’s cache, as well as the Directv Now app’s cache. Try clearing the data cache, if needed.

    None of the problems here where mentioned on the box when I bought it. Why don’t they just make something that works before they sell it? Directv is hemorrhaging customers because of this no sound problem. I bought a Samsung TV because it had the App built in. It get’s only about half of the channels with sound & operates very clunky when trying change channels. Samsung blames Directv & Directv says, There’re working on it (1 year now). At $70 X 1.5 Million customers one would think they afford some smarter help.

      Using the amazon fire stick with the latest store version, but Directv always drops connection saying try again later, or hardware doesn’t have enough ram it to power certain apps, I’m guessing. Router was higher upstairs about 8 feet away, and was best to aim the stick up for better connection. Overall, checked speed of router, location of router, current on app, will try clearing the little bit of cache memory again, but this is not really a fix with all the space still remaining on the stick! I mean the cache is usually not even half the size of the app!

    Oh just to add, If I was actually buying another streaming device, I would get something larger and if possible connect it straight to the box, to avoid these wireless or disconnect issues, but most of us need to avoid long wires, so we get a stick!

    The problems and glitches with DirecTv now are too numerous to mention. Over a year out from initial launch and hardly any issues have been addressed. My most frustrating problem right now is, I can’t press pause on On-Demand without the movie starting over from the beginning. I understand the reasoning behind not being able to fast forward but pressing pause does not fall under the same category. Directv now lost roughly 267,000 subscribers in Q-4 of 2018. AT&T needs to understand that they are not the only kid on the block. The funny thing is, even though they are losing subscribers hand-over-fist, their CEO is insisting on raising prices. I’m sure their shareholders are insisting on the new platform making money. High prices plus major technical problems are going to force them to throw in the towel. AT&T is one of the worst brands ever..

    I have my roku set up, download the directv now app., enter my username and password, Then I get the message “not quite ready yet” this has went on for days now. Chat online was automated so I call and the person tells me she’s only billing, says she get me phone number and gives me 1-800-288 and we’re disconnected,Are you kidding me
