Replace Your Tablet

Take off your Surface Type cover and turn on Tablet Mode for the ultimate tablet experience on your Surface Pro.

With Tablet Mode on, your Surface Pro becomes easier to use with touch. Apps and programs fill your entire screen without you telling them to. You can multitask by dragging one of your apps to the side of your screen. When you do this, Windows 10 will suggest another app or program to fill the opposite side with. Close an app by dragging it to the bottom of your screen.

Two other swipes make it easy to use your Surface Pro in Tablet Mode. In this mode, swiping left from the right edge of the screen opens your notifications. Swiping right from the left edge of your screen will open a timeline of everything you’ve recently done on your PC.
