Next, we'll want to discuss the cameras on these phones. Mainly because the Galaxy Note 10 has tons of cameras and a new camera technology that even the Galaxy S10 doesn't have. The OnePlus 7 Pro has four cameras.
Either way, you'll get great photos from both phones, but Samsung gives you more options and likely slightly better photos. Galaxy Note 10 Cameras
- 12 Megapixel f/1.5-2.4 Dual variable aperture camera with 960 FPS slow-mo, 4k, etc
- 12 MP f/2.4 telephoto zoom lens
- 16 MP super-wide angle camera.
- and
- 10MP f/1.9 front-facing cameras with 4K, portrait mode, face unlock & more.
The Galaxy Note 10 has very capable cameras, including a 4th DoF depth-sensing lens on the bigger Galaxy Note 10+. It looks like it can do some cool things, including bokeh portrait mode stuff while recording video. Unfortunately, the camera has always been a weak spot for OnePlus, but they really improved the cameras on the OnePlus 6T in late 2018. And, they're really proud of the triple camera setup in the Pro.
OnePlus 7 Pro Cameras
- 48MP f/1.6 OIS main camera (binned down to 12MP)
- 8MP f/2.4 telephoto zoom with OIS
- 16MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide angle PDAF sensor
- 16 Megapixel f/2.2 front-facing Pop-up selfie camera
Basically, OnePlus matched Samsung by offering a regular, wide and telephoto zoom camera setup on the back of the phone. Both phones have triple rear cameras, they both have "Night Modes" and you'll simply have to hope the 7 Pro is good enough for you. We're pretty confident in saying Samsung has a better camera, but the OnePlus 7 Pro does a good job too.
