Galaxy Note 5 Features & Changes

Thanks to the system dump, and those that've installed it, we now have a look at some of the changes coming to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the future.

XDA has an extensive run down of the early software and they've pointed out some key elements ahead of Samsung's roll out.

First and foremost, the ROM doesn't appear to have any memory management issues. This has been a problem for a number of Galaxy Note 5 users and it looks like Marshmallow could improve things. Then again, this is early software so performance could certainly change.

Some of the other notable findings include:

  • High benchmark scores
  • Small tweaks and changes to the UI and improvements for animations
  • Marshmallow's new Permissions system
  • Doze battery saving feature isn't available, yet
  • It's probably not fit to use as a daily driver
