Samsung Pass & Additional Security
If you value your device's security you should be excited about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android 7.0 Nougat update. It will deliver several key security enhancements to the device.
When the Galaxy Note 5 Nougat update arrives for your device it will include some version of Samsung's monthly security patch.
Samsung's security updates include important Samsung-specific patches and they also include patches from Google itself. The contents of these updates help protect your device from malware and other potential exploits.
In addition, one of Nougat's highlights is support for Samsung Pass. Samsung Pass protects your device's vital information using biometric authentication which is a fancy term for your device's fingerprint reader.
Samsung Pass is like a master key for all of your device's logins so there's added convenience as well. It's also extremely easy to setup.
It's one of our favorite features from the Galaxy S7 Nougat update and we think Galaxy Note 5 users will love it, assuming it comes to the Galaxy Note 5.
We don't have an official change log for the Galaxy Note 5 but the Galaxy S6 got Samsung Pass with its update so we assume the Galaxy Note 5 will as well.
