If you're debating whether or not to buy one of these big screen "phablets" one thing to consider is the specs. Rather than going through them one at a time, here's one big breakdown of everything these phones will have to offer. This is based off of what we know, and what rumors are suggesting. The Moto X is official, the Note 5 is all still just rumors.
Galaxy Note 5 Specs (Rumored)
- 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD S-AMOLED Display
- Samsung Exynos 8-core processor with 4GB of RAM
- 32, 64, 128GB storage options (Micro-SD a maybe)
- 16 Megapixel OIS Camera (like the Galaxy S6)
- 8 Megapixel front-facing camera
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
- Premium Galaxy S6-like all glass and aluminum design
- Fingerprint scanner
- IR Sensor for Remote control, Heart rate sensor, & more
- 3,220 mAh battery
- S-Pen Stylus
- more
2015 Moto X Pure Edition Specs
- 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD Display
- 6-core Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM
- 16/32/64 GB of Storage with a Micro-SD slot for expandable storage
- 21 Megapixel F2.0 Rear and 5 Megapixel Front Camera (front and rear LED flash)
- 4k Video, HDR Video, Slo-Mo Video and more
- Pure stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
- Dual Stereo Sound front speakers
- Aluminum Design
- 3,000 mAh battery with the world’s fastest “TurboPower” charging
- Unlocked with Universal 4G LTE (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.)
- Water-repellent coating
- MotoMaker Customization
As you can see above they have the same size screen, both will have aluminum designs for a more premium look and feel, and run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop but that's where similarities end.The Note 5 has more power, a bigger battery, a fingerprint scanner, the S-Pen stylus, and will probably be a more premium device with all glass and aluminum. However, that could make it come without a micro-SD slot or removable battery. A first for any Note. We're hearing it could come with a micro-SD, but that's still unknown. The Moto X though. Will have the world's fastest Turbo charging to power up it's decently sized 3,000 mAh battery, tons of customization, for sure has a micro-SD slot for expandable storage, and dual front-facing speakers for improved sound. Rumor has it these new Moto phones finally will have the best camera's on the market. One review even put the Moto X just behind the Galaxy S6 for second best, so it may be right up there with the Note 5.

Samsung is going to lose a lot of buyers to the Note 5 by not offering the Micro sd card slot, the Motorola X Style offers the card slot and a more affordable phone,Samsung an its Project-Zero with the Galaxy S6 and Note 5 as been a disappointment for a lot of Galaxy phone users

Couple typos. On the first page you say the note might be out “April 21”
Second is “it’s”. It is a contraction, not an ownership word. For example, ” Samsung and its phone ” is correct. Not “Samsung and it is phone”

TouchWiz. That right there is enough for me to never buy a Samsung phone.
